There is something peaceful about harvest season. The warm fall colors, golden leaves, crisp air, and quiet moments remind us that life moves in seasons. Some seasons call us to work, others to wait, and some invite us to slow down, reflect, and enjoy the fruits of our labor.
Harvest season is a reminder that growth deserves to be celebrated. Most often, we become so focused on what is next that we forget to appreciate how far we have come. We overlook the lessons, the answered prayers, and the strength we gained through difficult seasons.
Perhaps this season is an invitation to build in new spaces. Not just physical spaces, but emotional, spiritual, and mental spaces where peace can flourish and new possibilities can take root.
Building something new requires releasing old habits, familiar surroundings, and expectations that no longer align with our purpose. Just as trees release their leaves, we must learn that letting go is not always a loss. Sometimes, it is preparation for renewal.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
So, take a breath. Enjoy the colors. Embrace the quiet. Celebrate your growth, and give yourself permission to rest. You do not have to rush into the next chapter to prove that you are progressing.
Sometimes, the most beautiful harvest comes when we make room for what God is preparing next.
LEAP SEAT Reflection: What are you ready to release so you can make room for what’s next?
Prayer: Lord, help me embrace this season with gratitude, release what no longer serves me, and trust You as I build in new spaces. Amen.
