The assignment doesn’t always come with a detailed plan, a clear explanation, or even the reassurance that you’re headed in the right direction. Sometimes it simply comes as a quiet nudge from God that says, “Go”. That’s where faith begins.

At LeapSeat, we often talk about transition. Most people assume transition starts when life changes around us. But I’ve learned that transition really begins the moment we choose obedience over understanding.

You may not understand the assignment, but be willing to go anyway.

Some assignments are for building. Others are for serving. Some are meant to heal, while others are designed simply to prepare you for what comes next. Whatever the assignment may be, it carries purpose even when that purpose isn’t immediately visible.

Think about the people throughout Scripture who answered God’s call without having all the details. Better yet, people you may know personally who may have left familiar places, stepped into unfamiliar territory, and trusted a God who saw the entire picture while they could only see the next step.

That’s what faith looks like. Yes, every act of obedience matters.

What if your assignment isn’t about receiving recognition?

What if your assignment is to create a pathway for someone else?

Your willingness to show up may become someone else’s answer to prayer. Your sacrifice may become another family’s provision. Your obedience may open a door that generations after you will walk through with confidence.

That is the power of saying “yes” to God.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that God is not looking for people who have every answer. He’s looking for hearts that are available. When we stop demanding certainty before taking action, we make room for God to reveal His faithfulness one step at a time.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for every assignment You have entrusted to my life. Even when I cannot see the destination, teach me to trust the One who already knows the way. Give me the courage to say “yes” before I have all the answers and the faith to keep moving when the road feels uncertain.

Help me remember that my obedience has purpose beyond what I can see. Let my life become a vessel of hope, peace, encouragement, and provision for those You place along my path. Strengthen my heart when I grow weary, quiet my mind when doubt arises, and remind me that You are always working behind the scenes.

May I never allow my need for understanding to become greater than my desire to follow You. Let every transition draw me closer to Your presence and deeper into Your purpose.
