Most people struggle to move into their why; their purpose, their calling, their next level because they haven’t worked through their what. And that what is often trauma.

When we don’t address the pain of what happened, we can find ourselves living in the “towns” of pity, post, and complacency.

Pity keeps us stuck in a cycle of “why me?” Post makes us constantly replay the past, posting our pain like it’s our permanent identity. Complacency convinces us that healing isn’t possible, so we stop trying to grow.

Over time, the trauma we suffered can become our trophy. We carry it, polish it, and show it to others as if it defines us. But trophies are meant to sit on a shelf, not to weigh us down.

The good news? You don’t have to live in that place forever. There are ways to move past trauma and into your purpose:

Acknowledge the pain. Healing starts with honesty. Pretending the wound isn’t there only makes it deeper. Seek understanding, Ask yourself, “What happened to me?” but don’t stop there. Dig into how it shaped you, and how you want to grow beyond it. Release the shame – You are not your trauma. What happened to you is not who you are. Choose healing daily, Healing isn’t a one-time event; it’s a journey. Each day, take small steps through prayer, therapy, journaling, or trusted support systems. Shift into your why. Once you begin working through the what, you create space for your why to emerge. Your purpose isn’t behind you, it’s waiting ahead.

Your trauma may have written a few chapters of your story, but it doesn’t have to write the ending. When you choose to move beyond pity, post, and complacency, you unlock the door to healing, growth, and destiny.

Remembers: Your #trauma is not your #trophy—your #triumph is…. #Leap
